The Story So Far, Four Year Strong, Terror & Souvenirs
MAY 3 2015 | Soma, San Diego, CA
The Story So Far
What a random yet perfectly matched bill. Of course modern pop-punk darlings The Story So Far destroyed the house with a vast armory of brand new tracks laid over a comfortable bed of classics. Sea of crowd surfers, sold out show, kids screaming along from start to finish. There’s a reason these guys are on top right now, just look at their fans during their set. Always a fun show to watch.
Four Year Strong
Four year strong, having dropped a notch in where they usually sit on the lineup, still brought the thunder. Having revamped their sound since their lineup change they brought out some brand new jams which never goes over well when everyone their is just waiting to hear something off of “Rise Or Die Trying”
Terror
Terror, the polar opposites of the opener, came from the shadows and shocked the crowd with their hardcore. If you are unaware Terror are completely untouchable in the hardcore scene today something a lot of the crowd didn’t appear to be aware of as the Terror fans immediately opened the biggest pit of the night sending pubescent pop-punkers running in all directions. The weirdest band of the bill but also probably the tightest and most experienced of the night.
Souvenirs
Souvenirs kicking off the show with their classic emo-esque slow jams. All around solid delivery trying to break the ice at a sold out Soma. Wasn’t the best setting for a first impression but I’m definitely looking forward to seeing these guys around in the future.
